SUMMARY:Book Spring Book Drive
DESCRIPTION:The Westlake Chamber Humanitarian Services Committee will be holding a Book Drive in conjunction with a May 2nd Volunteer Day at Bookspring.\n\n\n\nBookspring's Mission:  Provide reading experiences\, tools\, and books to children and their families so they can develop a desire to read and succeed in school and in life.  We provide several programs to children and families in high-need schools\, Medicaid clinics\, and in some community centers through our Parent Book Club program which travels.\n\n \n\n**We were able to distribute over 92\,000 gently used books in the past year to children (in addition to the new books we use for our programs) to encourage summer\, spring\, and holiday reading!  \n\n \n\nBook Drive Specifics:  Many of our program sites have book swaps to get kids ready for summer break and help them stock up on summer reading material\, so our need for volunteers to sort and label books is high at that time!   Any books benefiting babies-teens are in high demand all year long! \n\n\n\nDrop off books at the Westlake Chamber office\, American Bank on Bee Cave Drive or at any Chamber event through May 2nd.\n\n\n\nVolunteer Day:  You would not need to bring anything with you to volunteer and dressing comfortably is ideal.  We have snacks and drinks onsite. Address is 2006 Greenbrook Parkway\, Austin\, TX 78723.  Parking available on street.
