All are welcome to St. Michael's Episcopal Church's annual Lenten Speaker Series, which is free and open to the public. This year, our theme is “Grace & Peace.”
Each Sunday evening in Lent (March 9-April 6), we have a contemplative Eucharist worship service, followed by a speaker who will explore the theme from a unique perspective. Our March 30 speaker is the Rev. Dr. Dominque A. Robinson, who is speaking on “Bridging Grace: Building Relationships Between the Episcopal Church and Black Methodist Traditions." She is the John Hines Assistant Professor of Preaching at the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, TX. In addition, Dr. Robinson is a millennial Womanist homiletician and justice advocate who is also an ordained itinerant elder in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Zion Church.
After the speaker, all are invited to a homemade meal in our parish hall.
We have children's and youth activities available between 4:45-6:45pm for families attending the event. Pizza and snacks are provided for both age groups.
